Greens MP Robin Chapple will today ask in parliament for the government to table the Memorandum of Understanding the Premier has signed with China.
Premier Barnett announced on Friday that he had signed a “world first” deal between WA and China.
“The Premier must make the MOU public. The people of WA should have their questions answered about this deal, said Mr Chapple
- Does this deal impact on local content and local manufacturing?
- How does this deal effect our planning and environmental approvals?
- Is this government handing over control of the development of our resources?
- Will local communities see the profits from this investment?
- Does this deal really support local WA companies – or does it provide further support for the major multinational companies already profiting in WA?
“These questions can only be answered if the government releases the details of the deal with China” concluded Mr Chapple.
